Memorial Day Weekend Giveaway

Wishing everyone a blessed Memorial Day Weekend. Besides the family gatherings and picnics many gather for memorials to the fallen in all of America's conflicts. I do not write a lot of WW2 fiction so it's significant that one of those books is being offered up in a giveaway that ends Saturday at midnight. Co-written with Patrick Craig, the book tells the story of three Mennonite boys who, for various reasons, choose to go against their family's wishes and pacifist beliefs and enlist in the Marines. The Scepter and the Isle, to a certain extent, is graphic in its portrayal of the harshness of WW2 combat and the language men in war zones employed. Keep that in mind if you want to enter the contest. The book is along the lines, so far as realism goes, with films like Saving Private Ryan, The Thin Red Line, Hacksaw Ridge and Flags of Our Fathers, so if you ca handle those movies you can handle this Memorial Day giveaway book. In addition, of course, there is a great deal of writing about their Christian faith and how that affects them as they fight in the South Pacific.

It's in honor of our vets, many of whom, as ARC readers, have given the book high marks and high praise. If you want to enter the giveaway for one of the six copies available you need to be on Goodreads, they are hosting the contest. All the best!
